Adeleke University Honours Dr. Iyadunni Gbadebo for Championing Theatre Arts and Student Development Adeleke University has recognised Dr. Iyadunni Gbadebo, for her sustained support of theatre education, student development, and the creative arts. In a letter of appreciation dated July 20, 2026, the Department of Theatre Arts commended Dr. Gbadebo for her consistent contributions to the department’s theatre productions and initiatives aimed at developing students’ talents and practical skills.

The letter, signed by the Founding Head of the Department of Theatre Arts, Dr. Tunji Sotimirin, described Dr. Gbadebo’s support as instrumental in enhancing the quality of the department’s productions and providing students with invaluable hands-on experience in the performing arts.

“Your commitment to nurturing student potential directly enhances the quality of production and provides our students with invaluable hands-on experience in the performing arts,” the letter stated. The department further expressed appreciation for Dr. Gbadebo’s belief in young talents and her commitment to advancing the arts through meaningful partnerships with academic institutions. “Thank you once again for championing the arts and believing in the talents of our students,” Dr. Sotimirin wrote on behalf of the department.
