Something I have been working on for some time is now ready. The Lagos Smart Tourism Index 2025 is a structured, evidence-based assessment of where Lagos actually stands as a tourism destination.
It is not where we hope it is, and it is definitely not where the press releases say it is. It measures performance across five areas: Infrastructure, Security, Digital Engagement, Hospitality & Visitor Experience, and Destination Marketing. It acknowledges what is working. It is equally honest about what is not.
Official release is on Friday, July 3, 2026. Between now and then, I will be sharing some of what the Index found. Some of it will be encouraging. Some of it will be uncomfortable.
All of it is real.
